As beauty editors, we get bombarded with a ton of new products every day (we know—tough life). Reviewed is a series where we report on some of the best products we've tried. Whether it's a drugstore lipstick that lasted all day or a hand cream that saved us this winter, you'll find all of our favorites in this column. Enjoy!

Nail polish remover has never been something that particularly interested me—I'd pick up a bottle from the local drugstore, remove my chipped polish, and move on. As I grew up and began my career as a beauty editor, of course, I noticed the alcoholic smell and ultra-drying effects of my chosen remover. Still, I thought there was no other option.

Since then, I've tried many, many options, all of which smelled faintly of chemicals and left my nails in a less than desirable state: dry, peeling, and weak. That is until the Paris Atelier by & Other Stories launched. An extension of the brand’s Paris Atelier beauty range launched in 2016, the new collection takes its inspiration from the coastlines, verdant forests, and herbal gardens of France.

It's created with approximately 85% active natural ingredients of certified French origin, such as cold-pressed plum oil and extracts from chicory and oak. In essence, these products capture the makings of an iconic French beauty look—something we can all admit we've lusted after. While the range features 11 SKUs including powder, lipstick, and nail polish, I was immediately drawn to the nail polish remover. Perhaps the least sexy of the set, it still looked undeniably chic.

Housed in a glass bottle with gold print (much like a perfume bottle), this lavender-scented nail polish remover is made from 100% natural ingredients. Sweet almond oil of certified French origin adds moisture to your cuticles and nails, while the natural lavender fragrance brings up memories of fields in Provence. Yes, it really is that good.

”French beauty secrets have an intriguing power that we wanted to capture in this new Paris Atelier make-up range," says Frida Fagerholm, head of beauty at & Other Stories. "We set out to create premium natural beauty products based on the idea of irresistible classics. Formulated with a bespoke blend that includes natural French ingredients, this range is timeless yet modern and brings an air of Parisian flair to your vanity bag."

That quote alone would have had me sold. But after removing an especially stubborn dark red polish from my nails in just a few swipes (which is practically unheard of) with wafts of lavender (rather than the aforementioned alcohol stench), this product had me shouting from the proverbial rooftops. My nails were left moisturized, strong, and without the usual stripping and flaking. If nail polish remover could be sexy, this would be the one.

FYI: I finally have dewy skin now that I use this French face oil.
