If you don't know who Ingrid Burley is by now, you may want to give her seven-track EP, Trill Feels, a listen because the rapper is about to blow up. The 29-year-old is best known for writing songs for mentor Beyoncé, who happened to be her babysitter back in the day and is also big sis to Burley's close friend Solange. No big deal, but now Bey's technically her boss at Parkwood Entertainment too. The up-and-comer recently talked all things beauty with Into the Gloss, and we weren't surprised to read that she's totally laid-back when it comes to everything from skincare to makeup.
In the interview, the Houston native discusses her no-frills, easy-breezy approach to beauty. "As far as beauty goes, I do the same exact thing every day—I'm a creature of habit," she said. Among her tried-and-true favorites are drugstore hits like Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6) and Nivea Raspberry Lip Butter ($3). The biggest surprise was the fact that she swears by a classic and uses it from head to toe. "I wash my face with the white Dove bar soap and keep a-moving. I use the same kind of soap on my body, and I'll do coconut oil, and then cocoa butter for lotion," she explains of her layering technique. "I've used the same stuff forever, and I'm sticking to it," she says of her insanely moisturizing skin-nourishing routine. Hey, if it's not broken, there's no need to fix it. Right?
