We’re here to come clean (pun half-intended). We’ve been doling out shower advice, skin advice, and often times a combination of the two for many moons now. But there was one glaring mistake in our routine that a skin expert pointed out to us recently, and it kind of blew our minds. Rinsing your face under the showerhead is actually damaging to your skin. The water pressure (along with the warmer-than-recommended temperatures) is too way too harsh for the delicate skin on your face. Yes, simply standing with your face in stream of water creates tiny micro-tears in your skin that can lead to premature aging.
So we want to know—do you stick your face directly into the stream of water? Tell us below!
