Iman Palm

Iman Palm is a general assignment reporter primarily covering news but has written lifestyle, sports, opinion, and entertainment articles. Recently, she wrote about another TikTok community, #MoneyTok, which inspired her to write about #WigTok. She is a journalism graduate student at NYU and earned a B.A. in journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

Iman is a new contributor to Byrdie, but she has been reporting for the past five years. Iman started as a journalism student at Long Beach City Community College before continuing her education and reporting at Long Beach State and NYU. She has written about various topics ranging from news to TikTok communities. Iman's work can be found in the Los Angeles Times, Edsource, The US Sun, The Click News.

Education

Iman earned her B.A in journalism from California State University, Long Beach in 2021 and recently finished her graduate studies at NYU Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
