Huda Beauty's New Nude Palette Is the Perfect Rosy Glam

Finding the right eyeshadow palette isn't always easy. A good palette is often an investment, and with so many out on the market right now, it can be overwhelming. Nonetheless, I've always been a sucker for eyeshadows. I like the way they look and how they can completely alter your appearance. I've always gravitated toward neutral hues like browns and golds, but a gorgeous pink tint has always been a hidden fave. 

Huda Beauty's The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette offers those very shades, in a selection of matte and shimmer finishes. I put the palette, as well as my creativity, to the test. Continue reading to find out my thoughts. 

About My Eyes: Almond-shaped

I have a good amount of eyelid space, but I tend to stick to simple eye looks. When I do use eyeshadows, I skip the primer as I don't feel like it does anything for me. The eyeshadow palettes I tend to reach for are either by Too Faced or Anatasia Beverly Hills.

One factor that sets The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette apart is that it includes a concealer base to enhance the appearance of the eyeshadow. The brand advises beginning with the concealer, then applying a matte shade all over the lid with a blending brush, and finally, for depth, adding one of the reflecting tones to the lid.

How to Apply: Eyeshadow brush or finger

I began with the concealer, then applied a matte shade to my crease—"Secret" and "Teddy" are great transition shades—before packing on the shimmer or glitter tones. I love the color "Crave" for an everyday look, and I use "Bare" on my brow bone. Another technique is to apply the matte shade on the lid as well as the crease, followed by one of the sparkling shades.

For the glitter hues, I sprayed setting spray onto my finger (you can also use an eyeshadow brush), dipped it into the shade, and then applied it to my lid. I used "Excite" for one of my flirtier looks, and the pigment is excellent.

The Results: Glamorous, chic long-lasting looks

It's easy to get a comfortable and fashionable look with The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette, which has a mix of warm- and cool-toned shades. If you're a fan of sultry looks, this palette has many options for you as well. I always begin with my eyes before moving on to the rest of my face. For the duration of the time I used this palette, I applied the concealer base first, and I never had any troubles. I used a small amount, which turned out to be a lovely base color for my lids.

The eyeshadows in The New Nudes Palette have silky textures and go on smoothly. The pressed glitter hues have a heavier consistency, but once applied, they look stunning. I was astonished to see how brilliant these colors appeared on my eyes. These eyeshadows lasted all day and all night, whether I was wearing them inside or out in the cold. I wanted to exhibit two distinct looks: a glamorous night out appearance and a lovely style for daily wear. Both are achievable with the palette, and it's fair to say that I'm in love.

The Value: Pricey, but a worthy investment 

The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette by Huda Beauty retails for $65—rather pricey for an 18-shade eyeshadow palette. What distinguishes The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette from others is that it includes two glitter formulas and a concealer, which most palettes do not. 

The product itself is a piece of art, with beautiful packaging and stunning colors. The matte shadows are easy to apply and blend well. The metallic shadows are pigmented and shimmer wonderfully. The glitter pans are made of pressed glitter and are gorgeous. I adore the pigmentation and mix of colors. The shades are simple to apply and seamlessly transition when blending. In my view, it's the ideal palette for both glam and natural looks.
