Roots have an almost magical way of appearing out of nowhere. One day your color is looking great; maybe you’re starting to see a little bit of regrowth, but it’s an amount only you would notice. Then, out of nowhere, you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror and suddenly you’re sporting a very noticeable, perhaps inches-long section of regrowth. Here’s what to do when that happens!
If you always part your hair in the same place, that area naturally flattens out, making your roots more prominent. Part your hair on the opposite side, and make it messy. Nothing highlights overgrown roots like a straight, blunt part. Or, ditch the part altogether, and pull your hair straight back into a ponytail, braid, or bun.
