In the grand scheme of model food diaries, those of Bella and Gigi Hadid are a tad, uh, different. While we know that Bella does participate in the occasional detox with A-list nutritionist Dr. Charles Passler—which we know from experience is no joke—she also cops to regularly indulging in pizza ("I promise you, it's like, every day"), as well as burgers, fries, and grilled cheese. She also says she's not exactly devoted to working out. Curse you, Hadid genes!
Gigi's approach to fitness is decidedly different than her younger sis's, however—she's a huge proponent of boxing and staying active in general. We also know that like Bella, she's always down to indulge in some junk food. But is her day-to-day diet just as lax? The answer lies in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, in which Hadid reveals a typical day of eats. Keep reading to get the details.
Though she admits to sleeping past noon on occasion, Gigi says she usually starts the day at 7 a.m. straight away with coffee and breakfast. "I live near The Smile, and I love their scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast," she says. "I drink orange juice and coffee always. At home I love scrambled eggs and toast; it's just an easy go-to. My boyfriend, being British, got me into breakfast beans, so that's what I've been eating lately."
After a tough morning boxing sesh at Gotham Gym, Gigi makes sure to refuel at lunch. "My personal motto is 'Eat clean to stay fit, have a burger to stay sane,' so if I'm in the mood I'll go to JG Melon in the West Village," she says. If the burger craving doesn't strike, she sticks with an arugula salad.
As for dinner, Gigi likes to make it a social occasion whenever possible. "I like to go for dinner and drinks with friends," she explains. Sushi is a favorite, and if she's in the mood for dessert, ice cream is her standby. "I'll just Postmate pints of it to my apartment," she says. Truly a girl after our own hearts.
