Though we’re always curious about the makeup products our favorite celebrities use, we really want to know which ones their makeup artists swear by. After all, they’re the ones responsible for the exquisite smoky eyes, the perfectly-painted lips, and the (seemingly) poreless complexions. Which is why, when we saw an opportunity, we took it—in other words, we begged Georgie Eisdell, the makeup artist behind our feature shoot with Jaime King and the go-to artist for celebs like Carey Mulligan, Dianna Agron, and Rose Byrne, to spill the contents of her makeup bag. Luckily, she isn’t one to keep secrets—click through the slideshow above for the seven products Eisdell can’t live without!
La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream ($155)
“It's a staple in my kit and in my bathroom. It's nice and light, but keeps my skin so hydrated—perfect for going under makeup!”
Lucas Papaw Ointment ($30 for 3)
“The best product to come from my hometown, Australia. It's the best lip balm ever! It's so hydrating, but not too shiny. Men and woman can use it and not feel greasy-lipped, and it's also great for cuts, burns, and dry patches on the skin.”
Tom Ford Illuminating Primer ($72)
“It’s the best product to mix with foundation to add the most beautiful glow to the skin. I love skin to look like skin, and not be flat and dull, so adding a touch of this to my base is the key. Instant radiance!”
Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil ($26)
“Kevin Aucoin’s brow definer is my love right now. The consistency of the pencil is smooth and the colors are fantastic. It’s the easiest way to fill in any gaps in your brow and reshape if needed, without looking drawn on.”
Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils ($30)
“This is the fastest most effective product there is—it brings the face alive in one coat! It really opens up your eyes and shapes the eye. It's that product you grab when you don't have time to do anything else. One must never leave the house without a coat of mascara, in my opinion.”
Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips and Cheeks ($26)
“Young, fresh, summery, fun, youthful cheeks are key! It takes years off, I think. So I like to use a cream blush on myself and on my clients. It gives you a pop of color and keeps your cheeks hydrated. My favorite is Bobbi Brown’s [version] in Calypso Coral. It's a gorgeous color that brightens up the face instantly.”
Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra ($95)
“I cannot live without this in my life and use it on all my clients! I use it instead of [face] powder most of the time, very, very lightly. It takes the edge off the shine and adds warmth to the skin, instantly. It's not always about being tanned with bronzers—it's about healthy-looking skin, so a touch of bronzer goes a long way.”
