You would think that single-handedly saving the world and inspiring goodness in the hearts of humanity as the Amazonian warrior/princess Diana would leave Wonder Woman with zero time for hair, makeup, or skincare, but apparently that is not so. Her signature on-screen red lip, full lashes, and bouncy curls say otherwise.
Off-screen, Gal Gadot has a similar beauty aesthetic to her strong-willed DC Comics character. Most of the time she's spotted with the same strong red lip and full-lash look. The only thing that differs is her hair, which has been chopped into a textured lob (but we have no complaints there, as a shoulder-grazing length suits her well). This constant and classic beauty inspo hasn't gone unnoticed by us, or the rest of the world for that matter. For proof, just look to today's announcement, in which iconic drugstore beauty brand Revlon named Gadot as the brand's newest celebrity spokesperson. Keep scrolling to get all the details.
The brand's official Instagram account posted this promo video, captioning it "'Be who you are and go for it.' @gal_gadot our very own superhero and new #Revlon woman #LiveBoldy." In it, we see Gadot wearing a red power suit and matching lip color. By becoming a Revlon spokesperson, Gadot joins a group of other A-list celebs like Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Olivia Wilde, Ciara, and Shanina Shaik, all of which have starred in various Revlon campaigns in the past.
This is Gadot's first beauty campaign (which is actually kind of outlandish considering her always on-point makeup and massive influence on people around the world). But judging from the sneak peek, she seems to be taking it all in stride, as Wonder Woman is wont to do.
We were at the official Revlon announcement event, during which we were able to catch up with Gadot and ask her what empowers her in her day-to-day life. "I think it's about communication," she said. "It makes me feel connected with myself and with my surroundings, whether it's family and friends." There you have it. It's not necessarily about wearing a lot of makeup or looking perfect. Gadot, yet again, proves that empowerment and true beauty are more than skin deep, which is also why we think she makes the perfect Revlon spokesperson. We can't wait to see more.
