With a degree in neuroscience and art history from UCLA, Rose Theodora is an expert when it comes to color therapy and astrology. Each month, she'll be sharing astrological insights, as well as the beauty products you should be using—consider these your personal beauty horoscopes.

While full moons have a reputation for making us feel loopy or out of whack, they're also known for bringing about certain advantages, one of which is that our beauty routines get a boost—especially when it comes to changing it up. For example, cutting your hair on a full moon yields healthier hair and enables it to grow more quickly too. It's also a great time to kick bad habits: Full moons are about letting go of what isn't working in your life to make room for something that will.

Tonight, the full moon is in the sign Scorpio, a water sign that's ruled by the planet, Pluto. This means that it's a deep-feeling and passionate sign. When there is a moon illuminating our feelings and emotional needs in the sign Scorpio, this intensifies everything. Attuning your skincare regimen to match your inner needs does wonders, and this full moon is especially potent if you want to utilize it to transform your skin and get rid of negative habits once and for all.

Keep reading to see how to tailor your skincare routine to the full moon tonight.

Step One: Out With the Old…

Get rid of old beauty products or products that you no longer use.

Step Two: Detox and Purify

Start detoxing your skin and diet today. (Editor's note: Here are some great tips for doing so on the fly.) Scorpio's ruling planet is Pluto, which is synonymous with deep inner transformation. When you're glowing on the inside, you look healthier.

Step Three: Hydrate (From the Inside Out)

Drink a ton of water. I recommend Cilk's Rose Extract ($79) for added hydration and poeticism.

Plus, use a hyaluronic facial wash to penetrate deeply, removing layers of dead skin while providing it with deeper hydration.

Step Four: Exfoliate

Use something gentle.

Step Five: Relax

Take a bath—you'll crave deep, calming scents and relaxation. Try adding some Epsom salt and quality essential oils which will take you to a deep state of relaxation.

Step Six: Spritz

You might feel warmer or that your skin is more sensitive, so use a hydrating face mist to cool your skin.

Step Seven: Nurture

Show your skin some TLC with a calming mask or cleanser.

Step Eight: Breathe

And maybe try throwing some crystal healing into the mix: Lay with rose quartz on your face while you take a few deep breaths.

Step Nine: Massage

Use an oil after your bath and sensually massage it into your skin. This is real self-love: pampering yourself and showing your body that you care for it.

Step Ten: Sleep

Get a good night's rest.
