Not Just a Summer Fling: 10 Products We're Carrying With Us Into Fall

Updated 07/12/19

Seasonal skincare and makeup is a real thing. There are moisturizers that are perfect for summer but too thin for fall, foundation formulas that are not humidity-proof, and so on. There are also products that stand the test of time, as well as the changing seasons. This summer, we fell in love with so many different offerings and treatments, and we aren't ready to give them up just yet. There was a glow-inducing facial, coral lipstick, a natural-looking self-tanning spray, and the most epic highlighting shimmer we've seen yet. So yes, our relationship with these formulas is not just a summer fling. Instead, it's turning into something fairly serious.

Below, find the best products, treatments, and ingredients we've tried and fallen for this summer and why we can't wait to keep using them through fall (and winter and spring). They're incredible, and you're going to love them too, trust.

This antioxidant serum/liquid bronzer hybrid is exactly what my perpetually pale skin needs year-round. It's super concentrated, so you only need a small dab, which I apply directly to my skin before moisturizer. It's recommended that you dilute it with another skincare product, but I need all the faux color I can get. Even with my foundation layered on top, the subtle bronze hue shines through, like I've just spent a few days at the beach, minus the sun damage.

It's rare (if ever) that I meet a CT lipstick shade I don't completely fall in love with. This past summer, the brand launched a gorgeous matte shade, Sunset Lover, and while I usually don't stray from my rose-toned lipsticks (seriously, I own about 50 different variations of the same rosy hue), this blue-toned color is universally flattering and will remain a staple in my makeup bag all year long.

St Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist

I fell in love with this self-tanning spray over the summer, and I won't give it up come fall. It's so subtle and natural-looking that even without a tan it allows for a healthy glow on your skin. The formula interacts with your pH, so it won't get on your clothes and you can spray it anytime, anywhere. I use it in the morning after I wash my face and will touch it up every so often to keep the glow going.

Carrington Farms Ghee with Himalayan Pink Salt

I went through somewhat of a lifestyle change this past summer, prioritizing health and real ingredients over my usual favorite comfort foods. I started eating good, nourishing meals after feeling sluggish for a series of months. Changing my diet changed everything. A huge part of that was Carrington Farms' absolutely delicious ghee. I started cooking, something I'd never previously made a habit, and nixed butter and refined oils for this delightful ingredient. It tastes delicious, and it kicks my metabolism into overdrive. I'm obsessed.

Stila Heaven's Dew All Over Glimmer

I cannot get enough of this stuff. It feels bouncy to the touch and allows for a hyper-lustrous, glistening effect, without a wet texture. You can apply it to your cheeks, Cupid's bow, brow bone, the inner corners of your eyes, and even your collarbone and shoulders. It's a heavenly, pearlescent glimmer that looks bold or subtle depending on your mood and how much you layer it on. I like to dot it on to my cheekbones for that coveted glass-skin look. It works like a charm.

Tarte Glide & Go Buttery Lipstick

I love lipstick. In fact, it's slowly but surely become one of my favorite daily makeup items. The one and only hitch: 97% of formulas quite literally suck the moisture out of my already dangerously dry lips. Thus, I'm often left with lined, dry, and cracked-looking lips with just an afterthought of stain leftover—yikes. But these dewy, buttery numbers from Tarte are cut from a different cloth entirely. They shroud lips in hydration (yet don't make them feel greasy) and drop the perfect hit of color that's juicier in pigment than a balm but with the same creamy texture. I was lucky enough to receive all six colors in the collection (they're all magically flattering once applied) but have received the most compliments while wearing this summer citrus hue of tangerine.

Olga Lorencin Deep Detox Facial In A Box
Olga Lorencin Deep Detox Facial in a Box $98

It's almost as good as seeing Olga in person and makes your face feel ridiculously clean and glowy post-application. It's not for the faint of heart and only warrants a once- or twice-per-week use, but the stinging, hot sensation you get with the peel and neutralizer is truly like an in-office treatment but from the comfort of your couch. I feel like I always have extra build-up in the fall and winter (maybe because I start wearing more makeup?), so this will be clutch.

Also known as the Aquagold Fine Touch Treatment, micro infusion (which runs $650 at Facile) involves using a tiny micro-channeling device to inject a special elixir of strategically blended, skin-enhancing ingredients (vitamins, Botox, and filler products) into the superficial layer of the skin. The device has 20 needles, each of which is finer in width than a strand of human hair and plated in 24-karat gold. The results were glowy and filter-like and last anywhere from three to six months. I'll definitely get another treatment come fall.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation

Since it's water-based, Laura Mercier's foundation promises at least eight hours of wear. It delivers on that promise and then some. It's lasted through my often 10-hour-plus days, classes Barry's Bootcamp, dates, too many shots of vodka, and has still somehow managed to look flawless. Plus, I just really love the somehow lightweight full coverage and the way it effortlessly blends and melts into my skin. Applied with a Beautyblender, it's magic. It's also great if you want a matte but not too matte finish.

ModelCo Fibre Lash Brush-On False Lashes Set

While other formulas have either weighed my lashes down or resulted in a sprinkling of noticeable fibers all over my eyes and cheeks—not cute—ModelCo's antidote was 100% mess-free. First, you layer on the Extension Mascara (which looks gorgeous on its own, by the way) before following it up with a healthy coating of the white Fibre Lash Extensions. Then you finish the look off with yet another coating of the Extension Mascara. If you want to be a true rule breaker (like me), you might even layer the brand's Lashxtend Mascara ($25) on top of thatSuffice to say, I'll continue to sing ModelCo's lash-transforming praises.
