Melanie Simon is a big name in the beauty biz. First and foremost, she's an electrical esthetician, which means she specializes in using electrical waves (such as micro-currents) to sculpt, smooth, and rejuvenate the skin. She's also the creator of the Ziip Facial Device, which takes electrical facials and makes them friendly for at-home use—but more on that later.
Aside from being an accomplished skincare expert and businesswoman, she also just has really, really great skin, which is why we were clamoring to know the beauty products she swears by, and uses, on the daily. From the Ziip Facial Device, which she calls her "life's work," to an iconic French toner, which she calls "unbeatable," keep scrolling to watch the full video and learn all about her five most favorite products.

"I'll jump right in and get down to my product, which is called ZIIP. This is really my life's work. This is an at-home skincare facial tool that delivers electrical currents to the skin in various wave forms for different outcomes. If you're breaking out, there's a wave form for that. If you need to contour the skin, there's a very specific wave form for that as well. It's my safety net, and it also always keeps my skin looking good, because if my skin doesn't look good, my clients aren't going to want to see me."
"My next favorite product I talk about all the time. This is my backbar size; it's gigantic. You would never get this size, but it's the Biologique Recherche P50 1970 original formula. It's an unbeatable toner. You apply it with gauze after you've cleansed your face, and if you want you can dampen the gauze and you start here and press it, press it, press it, avoid the orbital socket, and then go down to the neck. Then you need to give it a minute to do its thing. There's just really nothing like it."

"The reason I like this so much is that it's zinc and titanium that are blocking the sun. They are physical blocks. Once you put them on your skin, they actually reflect the sunlight, and it doesn't sink into the skin, so this will not break you out, but it will really, really protect you from the sun."
Simon pairs this product with Jane Iredale's POMMIST Hydration Spray ($33). "I know that's technically six, but I can't wear this without this. You spray it on over the top, and it basically sets it and makes it look like a liquid, and then you can just easily re-apply."
The next one I can't live without is the RMS Living Luminizer. This product is so amazing. You take a bit out and you can use it to really make the skin look dewy. You can put it right along the cheekbone—or anywhere you want to highlight. It's called Living Luminizer because it makes your skin look alive."
"You're probably looking at me thinking I have a ton of hair, but I really don't, it's this David Mallet volumizing spray. I really believe in his products. He's a hairstylist who's out there still working with hair, with people, with clients, and he knows what he's doing. Other people hire a great publicist, put a product out, and slap their name on it. He really knows what he's doing."
