The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards skipped the red carpet festivities due to the coronavirus pandemic that has forced all award shows during this time to go virtual. What does that mean for the breathtaking beauty looks we look forward to from the biggest night in television? More freedom for the stars to do beauty their way—bathrobe couture, DIY beauty prep, and lots of selfies.
We've scoured social media to bring you the best of the best of the best makeup and hair to sweep the first-ever virtual Emmys.
- Lancôme Ambassadress Zendaya wore a full face of the brand for her first Emmy win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria. We can't get over this simplistic glam created by makeup artist Sheika Daley. Lancôme Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss in 06 Shimmer ($20) was applied to lips for a high-shine, nude toned frosted finish.
There are so many elements to pick apart from the Ozark star's glam by celebrity makeup artist Stoj, but if we have to pick one, we're going with the brows. Stoj used Chanel's Boy de Chanel Eyebrow Pencil ($40) in Light Brown to this beautiful bushy brow.
A sultry side-part and perfectly winged liner? It's a yes for us. Side note: The star used Kim Kimble products to get that bounce in her bob.
Hairstylist David Stanwell achieved this full-bounce soft wave look on Octavia by going section by section with a curling iron, curling hair away from face. He applied SH-RD Nutra Therapy Shine Serum ($25) through the curls to give a gloss. The serum smooths down the cuticle of the hair keeping the curls defined and relaxed removing unwanted frizz or fly-aways. You're welcome.
"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" actress looked, well, marvelous. Hairstylist Owen Gould used two key Dove products to get the look: Dove Style+Care Compressed Micro Mist Flexible Hold Hairspray ($5) and Dove Care Between Washes Brunette Dry Shampoo ($5). The final look was every brunette's dream hair.
Being the woman of the night to watch ("Watchmen" had the most nominations this Emmy season), Regina slayed in soft tendrils and a fierce eye for the virtual event. Her MUA Tym Buacharern used Shiseido's Essentialist Eye Palette ($34) in both Hanatsubaki Street Night #06 and Cat Street Pop #07.
