This Is the Worst Beauty Advice Elizabeth Olsen Has Ever Gotten

Rule of thumb: When an Olsen sister offers up a word of beauty advice, it’s best to take out your pen (or phone) and make a note of it. This definitely goes for product recs and makeup chair tips, but what not to do certainly qualifies as well—so when Elizabeth Olsen sat down with Allure for her June 2016 cover story and revealed the one bad skin habit she's finally rejected, needless to say, we paid attention. (Have you seen her glowy complexion lately?)

Olsen says that her worst-ever beauty pointer is to dab toothpaste on a pimple to dry it up—a myth many of us have fallen victim to. (Most toothpaste formulas can be really rough on skin, and actually have the potential to worsen a blemish.)

So what do we do to achieve skin like hers? “I'm digging this 111Skin serum I also love SK-II and Dr. Colbert masks, the ones that make you look like a serial killer. And Kiehl's. And Kate Somerville. Use green-tea bags steeped in hot water and then soaked in ice on your eyes. I'm lucky—I have good skin. I drink a lot of water, and I use a lot of products.” Hear, hear.
