The File

Be still, our olfactory bulbs—the brand responsible for two of the market’s most hypnotic scents (Elizabeth & James in Nirvana White and Black, of course) just hit us with two new additions to the Nirvana range.

Thanks to the enigmatic genius of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose and Nirvana Bourbon are now available at Sephora and are coming to additional retailers next spring.

Bourbon and Rose seem to reflect two sides of the same warm, sultry coin. “We created Nirvana Rose and Nirvana Bourbon to explore a more sensual and also playful side of Nirvana,” Mary-Kate affirmed. Ashley added, “These two new fragrances are an evolution of Nirvana—bringing light and color into the collection and giving our customer more ways to find their nirvana.”

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Rose $65

The brand describes "Rose" as "an alluring floral scent embodying the heart of a dark rose with notes of geranium, rose de mai, and vetiver." The translucent scarlet bottle beautifully highlights the signature gold accents.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon $65

By contrast, Bourbon is an Eastern scent that blends “notes of vanilla bourbon with oakwood and hints of tuberose.” The amber bottle has a vintage, almost masculine feel.

The new fragrances are available in three sizes: 30 ml ($65), 50 ml ($85), and a rollerball ($25). Complete your Nirvana fix in the meantime with the rest of the collection below!

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black $85

Sensual notes of violet, sandalwood, and vanilla earned this androgynous scent fast cult status.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White $85

Even women who don‘t love perfume are transfixed by this soft, feminine scent, which features notes of peony, muguet, and tender musk.
