As beauty editors, we get bombarded with a ton of new products every day (we know—tough life). Reviewed is a series where we report on some of the best products we’ve tried. Whether it’s a drugstore lipstick that lasted all day or a hand cream that saved us this winter, you’ll find all of our favorites in this column. Enjoy!
Over the last few months, I had been disappointed in the look and feel of my skin—I was trying new products desperately looking for a new, really effective lineup. But nothing seemed to give me what I wanted. I tried new serums, lotions, potions, night creams—the works. That is, until this tiny bottle showed up.
Elemis has long been a brand I turn to for my skin because it just works. I use the products to lift and sculpt in minutes, fall asleep, and to energize my skin. So I excitedly moved the rest of my failing stash of products to the side and placed Superfood Facial Oil ($72) front and center.
I began using it during the season change—it'd be cold one day and 70 degrees and sunny the next. Luckily, the highly concentrated oil (seriously, a little goes a long way) is meant to feed your face with antioxidant and omega-rich ingredients to remedy just that. The blend of broccoli, flaxseed, and daikon radish boost stressed, dull skin and make it stronger and more supple with each application.
Oh, and by the way, it smells incredible. Like a mix of herbs and whatever they rub on you at a fancy spa. The oil is super silky, absorbs quickly, and has absolutely upped the health of my skin. I just apply after a dose of SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic ($163) and give my face a quick massage to encourage absorption and lymphatic drainage. Officially, my skin has never looked better.
