About My Skin: I cleanse regularly
I am not without my facial cleansers, ever. I cleanse in the morning, and I also cleanse in the evening. Since I have combination/oily skin that can also be sensitive at times, it’s important for me to use mild cleansers that don’t irritate my skin. I wear makeup every day, so I need cleansers that remove everything without overly stripping my skin. The brands of facial cleansers I use on rotation are Biologique Recherche, La Rochse Posay, and Renee Rouleau Skincare.
"I absolutely love the way this cleanser feels on my skin and how well it removes makeup. I used the cleanser on the skin without makeup and skin with makeup just to see if there would be any varying results, and it cleansed my skin thoroughly each time with no residue left behind."
How To Apply: Scoop, apply, massage, rinse
The texture of this cleanser is rich butter, so you’re going to want to use the scooper to get out a small amount, apply it to dry skin, and massage it all over the face to break up dirt, oil, and makeup. You can also apply it with a cotton pad and wipe it all over the face, too. After thoroughly applying it and massaging the cleanser, you’ll want to rinse with warm water and pat dry. You can also use this cleanser as a deep cleansing mask by spreading a thin layer all over the face and leaving it on for 1 minute before rinsing.
The Results: Soft, clean, glowing skin
I absolutely love the way this cleanser feels on my skin and how well it removes makeup. One of the first things I noticed was the texture and how luxurious it felt on my skin. When you massage it into the skin with your fingers, it slowly breaks down and emulsifies. Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter removed all of my makeup without irritation, and my skin was glowing afterward. The mango butter, pumpkin enzymes, and acerola cherry do an excellent job of giving your skin hydrating, nourishing, and omega-rich benefits all in one cleanser.
I used the cleanser on the skin without makeup and skin with makeup just to see if there would be any kind of varying results, and it cleansed my skin thoroughly each time with no residue left behind.
The Value: It's priced fairly
At the price of $38 at first glance, it might feel like a lot to spend on a cleanser. But with all of the benefits the Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter provides, the ingredients, how little you need to use, and how well it cleanses the skin, the price point is quite fair. We consider this a worthy investment to add to your skincare routine.
