Music is high up on the list of things in life that make me almost happier than makeup. The two not only serve as outlets for self-expression, but allow for moments of happiness and fun on repeat. What better way to get into a good mood than with your favorite tunes on blast while you paint your face?
E.l.f. 's Electric Mood collection is where music meets makeup in three epic collabs. The brand tapped EDM artists Pitizion, Tiana Major 9, and Tove Lo to create custom collections inspired by their bespoke beauty styles. Each star's lineup includes three new products in the eye, lip, and face categories. While each artist is unique in their own right, one common theme across all the Electric Mood creations is how versatile and wearable everything is.
Ahead, find everything you need to know about the new e.l.f. goods and their creators.
The Pitizion collection has the essentials for radiant skin, subtle eyes, and attention-grabbing lips, modeled after the Columbian singer's laid-back but bold aesthetic. Inside the trio, you'll find a Shadow Crayon Duo, Sheer Stick, and Face Quad. The eyeshadow sticks have a creamy texture that glides on a champagne-colored shade to highlight your lids and a chocolate hue to define your crease. You can go as smokey or straightforward as you want with these formulas— which is perfect for when you're going from zoom calls to happy hour.
Pitizion's sheer stick is a lightweight balm that leaves behind a cherry-red, just-kissed finish that looks good on any complexion. I like to dab it on for a hint of color to run errands and add multiple layers when I need a juicer, more pigmented finish.
London-based singer Tiana Major9 tapped into her inner Y2K vibes to curate her e.l.f. lineup, complete with glittery, vibrant makeup in equally flashy packaging. Her Electric Mood collection includes an 18-pan eyeshadow palette made with vivid shimmers and neutral mattes to create summer party looks. An early 2000's beauty wardrobe is also incomplete without a clear gloss, which Tiana also paired with a brown liner to achieve subtly lined, glossy lips (think: Aaliyah's trademark look from back in the day.) Tiana's skin illuminating elixir is also a magic potion for a natural glow. Just massage a few drops into your skin for a soft shimmer that'll prep your face for makeup or enhance it on its own. Bonus: It has a slight coconut scent that'll transport you to tropical vacation each time you apply it.
If you've missed attending in-person raves in the past year, Tove Lo's lineup basically brings the party to your makeup bag. Cracking into her disco-inspired packaging is the makeup equivalent of attending Electric Zoo, but what's inside brings it to life. Glitter brow pomade, lip shimmer, and glass skin balm combine all the trends you need for a festival face, but you can wear them solo when you want to add reflectiveness to your everyday makeup routine. I especially love the glass skin balm, the first of its kind on drugstore shelves, which you can dab onto the high points of your face for a dewy—never greasy– finish.
