Celebrities always look notable—having a talented glam squad and a genetically blessed face tends to yield such results. But every once in a while, one of Hollywood’s elite hits it out of the park red carpet after red carpet, appearance after appearance. Such is the case with Ciara. Her hair has been so on point as of late that we couldn’t help but dedicate an entire workweek to copying her perfectly executed ’dos.
Behold: five times Ciara’s hair made our jaws drop, neatly packaged for Monday through Friday.
Mondays are hard—you’re probably still recovering from the weekend, and washing your hair is probably the last thing on your mind. Spruce up a day-old ’do with a bit of Elizabeth and James Nirvana Dry Shampoo ($28) and a messy bun. Pull down a few face-framing pieces to add a romantic ’90s vibe, and you’re ready to take on the week.
Tuesday are for pretty, bouncy blowouts. Shampoo your hair with a moisturizing shampoo (I love Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo, $31) and blow it out with a large round brush. You’ll look fresh and feel good, and more likely than not, your productivity at the office will skyrocket.
Nothing helps you get through Hump Day better than a bold new hairstyle. Switch things up with clip-on bangs or a faux bob (Goody Small Bobby Pins, $10, are miracle workers). If you’re feeling really crazy, you could make an appointment at the salon and really go in for the chop.
Now that it’s been a day or two since your last shampoo, it’s best to braid it up into a super textured plait. Ciara’s style is a bit complicated, but you can easily re-create it with two easy pigtail braids and a clear elastic.
