From afar, the eye makeup look at Chanel's Métiers d’Art runway show just looks like an intense, blue-tinged smoky eye—but up close, you realize it takes on the painstaking detail of a pointillist painting. The result? Positively hypnotic.
But is it doable at home? We can't be the only ones thinking about how major this look would be for New Year's Eve. The good news is that all it really requires is some black glitter and a steady hand. After creating a winged, smoky look with Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Griffith Green (available next spring), Illusion D'Ombre Velvet ($36) in Fleur de Pierre, and Stylo Yeux Waterproof ($32) in Noir Intense, the presentation's makeup artists flicked on the glitter along the lower lashline. Our final tip is to apply a few dabs of a liquid adhesive beforehand, like e.l.f.'s Glitter Primer ($2), to ensure the sparkles stay put.
P.S. It was Bella Hadid's Chanel debut!
