We avidly follow celebrity hairstylists' Instagrams and scour the internet trying to find the products and techniques they've used on their A-list clients. While sometimes their products of choice may rack up a large bill, we're always pleasantly surprised when we learn that they've styled Hollywood's starlets with products you can get at the drugstore. One product in particular that we love saving money on is shampoo, so when a celebrity hairstylist shares their top drugstore pick to suds their clients' strands with, you better believe we take notes. Check out their favorite shampoos, all courtesy of the drugstore, below!
"I love using Amla Legend Moisture Remedy Shampoo because its moisturizing qualities keep hair texture soft. I also love using the new Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Length Retention Melt in Softness Detangling Co-Wash ($10). It gently cleanses the hair while also adding moisture. Both products are also great to use for detangling, which makes hair more manageable." — Johnny Wright
"My favorite drugstore shampoo is Infusium 23 Repair & Renew Shampoo because it really transforms damaged tresses into softer, healthier, more manageable hair. The protein-rich keratin strengthens hair while the argan oil helps prevent future damage." —Enzo Angileri
Also a fan of Infusium 23, celebrity stylist Johnny Lavoy weighs in on why he loves the shampoo: "My recommended drugstore shampoo is the Infusium 23 Moisture Replenisher. The blend of avocado oil and olive oil locks in moisture and adds shine, making your hair look and feel healthier."
"This is a fantastic drugstore shampoo that really works to condition, repair, and hydrate the hair leaving it shiny and healthy." — Juan Carlos Maciques
"My favorite drugstore shampoo is the Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Diamond Color & Radiance Shampoo. This product is great for people with color-treated hair and it has a UV protector, which is always an added plus!” —Richard Collins
"My favorite drugstore shampoo is the L'oreal Everpure Sulfate-Free Shampoo. It's super hydrating for all types of hair, but won't weigh it down for styling. Sulfate-free shampoo is great for people with color-treated hair and for people with keratin treatments." —Adam Campbell
