Carly's career in beauty started when she was a junior in college, interning at Health magazine. From there, she graduated college and started as a beauty assistant for Shape magazine where she climbed the ranks for six years, leaving the brand as beauty editor.
She then moved on to Cosmopolitan, where she worked as a fashion and beauty editor, then digital beauty director, and finally beauty director of the print and digital platforms. She left Cosmopolitan in January 2020 to pursue a freelance career in beauty, writing, consulting, creating, and partnering with brands—Byrdie being one of them.
Carly attended Penn State University for three years and then transferred to Pittsburgh University her last year, where I graduated with a BA in Communications and a minor in Journalism.
