As makeup lovers, and certainly, as beauty editors, we end up with a collection of products that isn't exactly minimalist. Though, there are always going to be those tried-and-true products we keep in our makeup bag year-round. We rotate seasonal favorites in and then out again, try new products to lust after them for just a short while, but when it comes to our true-blue favorites, they have a permanent place in our bathrooms. I asked a few of my fellow editors to share those products (FYI, we all mentioned the same concealer) and describe why it is they love them so much.
From bronzers and finishing powders to highlighters and blush, find our capsule makeup collections—an assemblage of products we just can't imagine living without (and, if we have anything to say about it, never will). Keep scrolling to discover your new favorite products.

For the most part, I do my makeup almost entirely the same each time I apply it. I'm not an artist, not by any means, so anything overly complicated or difficult to pull off ends up falling by the wayside. That being said, I do have a few favorites which have kept me glowy, dewy, and even whenever I paint, smudge, or blend it on.
First, I dab on Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation ($39) and follow up with Benefit Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer ($22)—it's sheeny and coral-colored to neutralize any under-eye darkness—and use Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Concealer ($27), which never, ever creases or budges. It's basically like a mask for dark circles. I dust on a bit of Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ($32) and use my fingers to apply RMS Living Luminizer ($38). It never dries down, and it has this super natural-looking pearlescent finish.
For my brows, I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil ($23) because it's iconic for a reason. I feather out the hairs with Milk Makeup Kush Clear Brow Gel ($20). I swipe on Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils ($29)—because no other mascara makes my lashes nearly as long—and apply Nars Afterglow Lip Balm ($28) for a bit of pink.

"I live and die by Revlon ColorStay Makeup ($14). It's inexpensive, and it works perfectly with my combination skin. In fact, as the day wears on and I get slightly oilier, the product starts to melt perfectly into my complexion and looks better than when I first applied it that morning.
I also need a high-powered concealer to hide any trace of exhaustion or a potential breakout. Tarte's full-coverage formula doesn't crease, and it hides just about every imperfection possible. Then there's my tried-and-true Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder ($39) and Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara ($15). It's got a silicone brush that grabs onto every last lash, coating it with a thickening, lengthening inky-black formula that's everything-proof yet still washes off without me needing to relentlessly scrub away at my eyes. Becca's offering is like a blush and highlighter mixed together for the healthiest glow imaginable, and I'm completely in love with Revlon's cream-to-powder formula as well.
"For brows, Joah is a new K-beauty brand that just launched at CVS, and already, I'm in love with the micro brow pencil. It has a nice waxy consistency, so I can draw in tiny brow hairs without the product sliding on my greasy skin, and the spoolie on the opposite end expertly blends out the product and shapes my arches. Then, because I usually keep my makeup look overall pretty soft, I opt for this gorgeous, creamy, long-lasting lipstick from Kosås. It's the prettiest rose shade that's essentially my natural lip color but amped up a notch or two.
Last, but certainly not least, the OG Naked palette. There's nothing that quite compares to its highly pigmented, beautifully blendable prowess. Given my pale skin and pink undertones, not many eye shadow shades look good on me except beiges, taupes, and bronzes, so I've leaned on this palette for years to create my signature contoured eye look."

"I own so much makeup, yet listing out my capsule collection was effortless because these nine products are truly the only ones I use every day. My go-to routine is all about glowy dewy skin thanks to Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation ($77), Tarte's tape concealer, Nars blush, Glossier's natural highlighter, and a sweep of Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer ($30), feathered brows—ModelCo More Brows is my holy grail. For wide-awake eyes, I use a champagne-y cream shadow from Tom Ford and Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara ($24) and finish with a bright, plump-looking lip—I don’t know what I’d do without Sisley Phyto-Lip Twist Tinted Balm ($50). Because I'm so used to these really effective high-impact products, achieving this effect only takes three minutes."
