In the midst of the current pandemic, we've been reminding ourselves at Byrdie of the special power beauty holds—the comfort it can bring, the joy it can instill, and of course, its practical and, dare we say, essential role in our lives. We've also been thinking every day about ways we can give back and support the doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers out there on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. That's why we're so thrilled today to announce our partnership with BeautyUnited, a collective of beauty brands and their founders that have come together in a show of solidarity with one goal: to support and give back to our healthcare heroes. Every brand that's part of BeautyUnited—and many of our faves are in there, from Tata Harper to Augustinus Bader to Youth to the People—has pledged to donate their products and raise immediate funds in support of the Frontline Responders Fund.
As their media partner, we'll be promoting their mission, donation, and fundraising efforts on all of Byrdie's platforms, while continuing to spread the message that beauty can spur solidarity, empowerment, community and joy. It's a special thing when an industry like ours can set aside differences, competition, and financial gain to unite under one cause, and even more so a cause that's focused on giving back. BeautyUnited is proof that the beauty industry is one that rises together to put those who are risking it all for us first—to soothe their skin, comfort their mind, and give them the essential live-saving PPE and medical equipment they need in order to fight this pandemic.
