New York Fashion Week, just like its London, Paris, and Milan counterparts, is an event that relies on organized chaos. Designers are pulled in one hundred different directions, going over every last detail of the show, while makeup artists and hairstylists work tirelessly to perfect the models' looks before they venture out on the runway. Then throw in reporters, celebrities, photographers, assistants, and more, and you’ve got a fashion show.
This year, like every year, we went backstage to learn about the newest trends, tips, and tricks from industry beauty experts— but this season, we brought our video crew to document TRESemmé’s lead hairstylist Justine Marjan’s creative process for Cushnie et Ochs' S/S 18 collection.
(After all, even though backstage might look a little crazy and chaotic, it still takes weeks of preparation to get it there).
To listen to her explain the creative process, her craziest NYFW experiences, and favorite hair products, watch the video below.
Marjan says this spray is always in her kit because it's "a great heat-protectant and leave-in conditioner." She loves it so much that she uses it every single time before she blow-dries her hair. It's formulated with biotin, which strengthens the hair strand from the inside out.
