The Most Beautiful Bob Hairstyles for Women of Color

Updated 12/07/17

Long hair is beautiful and all, but bobs will always be in. We tapped celebrity hairstylist to the stars Takisha Sturdivant-Drew, who is responsible for Gabrielle Union's and Kerry Washington's iconic bobs, to give us the lowdown on how to achieve the perfect cut. "The best way to achieve a flattering bob with textured hair is to make sure the hair doesn't look overwhelmingly heavy," says Drew. "Be sure to cut the hair to take out some of its bulk. I razor-cut the hair to shape the face or pin long. I like a little layering sometimes also. It adds movement to textured hair and highlights your features, as you can see on Kerry and Gabrielle." Scroll on for major bob inspo.
