“I always carry my fragrance. For me, it’s bottled confidence. You spray it and immediately feel empowered. You feel like you have that signature. I also like to have good mascara and lip gloss. I love coral-colored lip glosses.”
“What I think is remarkable about Gucci Première Eau de Toilette ($108) is that it strikes the perfect balance between the soft and strong notes, masculine and feminine. The orange blossom and the leather add weight to it. It’s a powerful fragrance.”
“For me, beauty is about however you feel the most yourself. When I wear a lot of makeup, I don’t feel like me. Some people really come into their own when they put on that exotic cat-eye. For me, it feels false. I always prefer things to be more natural and effortless.”
“My mom taught me this really great beauty tip. She used to put oil or mayonnaise on the bottom half of her hair before she would shower. That way, when she would shampoo, the soap wouldn’t strip the bottom of the hair and dry it out, making it brittle.”
“I think the best thing to do is just whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident. I normally try to eat the thing that makes me the happiest, so that I’m pretty pleased before I go out there. And the way that you smell makes such a difference too. Everything that you put on for the day, from your dress to your hair, makeup, and fragrance, is what you’re dressing up as, who you’re pretending to be that night, or how you’re empowering yourself. It’s always a very specific thing that you go for, but you try to look as confident as possible.”
