Spray tans can be a tricky beast. The art of a good one is just that—an art—and anyone's goal with a faux glow is not to look obviously spray-tanned, because that usually means bad, orange, and uncute. A good spray tan, on the other hand, elicits tan envy, along the lines of You look so tan—tell me your ways. Since celebrities have access to the best spray tans in the world, and they, of all people, know the importance of not showing up on a red carpet looking orange, we decided to do some digging into the L.A.
places celebs get their spray tans. If it's good enough for them, it's certainly where we'll be booking our next appointment! Keep scrolling for the celeb-approved spray-tan scoop.
The Scoop: Makeup artist and airbrush spray tan expert Amy Rittiner is known for giving Chrissy Teigen, Julia Roberts, and Gwyneth Paltrow their golden glow. She makes house and hotel calls and sets up a tent to spray your skin with a customizable, organic, aloe-based color. Fun fact: Teigen once tweeted a picture of Rittiner giving her a spray tan at her house, naked (naturally), to commemorate reaching 200,000 followers.

The Scoop: SunKissed by Jenni's client list reads like a who's who of Hollywood, counting Jenna Dewan Tatum, Emma Roberts, Sophia Bush, Zoe Saldana, Britney Spears, and Selena Gomez, among many others. We first came across her work when our co-founder, Hillary Kerr, walked into the office looking like she had genuinely just gotten back from Mexico. When we did a double take and told her she looked like a vacation goddess, she told us her tan secret was SunKissed by Jenni (aka Jenni Blafer), who both makes mobile house calls and works out of Nine Zero One salon.
Blafer founded her company after being diagnosed with melanoma, and her formula is all natural and organic.

We had the chance to get a spray tan at the well-known Infinity Sun House on Holloway Drive in West Hollywood, and it was one of the best we've ever received—from how natural it looked to how long it lasted (a full week). Lucky for those who don't live in L.A., Infinity sells its product in faux-glow form, which you can shop at the end of this story.
