This Unexpected Shade of Blush Looks Good on Everyone

Updated 09/23/16

Blush is one of those products where you either love it or hate it—there's really no in-between. I personally don't feel that my makeup look is complete without a pop of color on my cheeks, and I love trying bold, bright colors as well as different formulas. So when Lorac's Color Source Buildable Blush ($22) landed on my desk, I couldn't wait to take it home and test it out.

The blush is quite striking in the pan—it's an incredibly vibrant purple that appears almost unsuitable for the face. Suffice to say, I was a tad skeptical about how it would look on, but after dusting it lightly on my cheeks with a big fluffy brush, I was amazed at how well the color worked with my skin tone, which got me thinking: Will this color look good on everyone? I solicited the help of some of my fellow Byrdie team members so give it a test drive. Keep scrolling to see how it worked out!
