Of all skincare products, face oils are my favorite. Nothing ensures I wake up to a newfound glow—skin soft to the touch, dry patches banished, and creeping blemishes curbed—like applying one of my favorite oils before bedtime. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate ($49), a hardworking oil of distilled botanicals that replenishes skin overnight, was actually the very first real grown-up product I introduced to (what were the beginnings of) my skincare routine in my twenties.

Since that first introduction at twenty-two, I've since accrued an admittedly excessive collection of products for every possible skin concern. To this day, I religiously apply an oil to my face before bed—and oftentimes in the morning too. I switch them up often, depending on my skin's needs, it's the one part of my skincare routine that usually varies. Through the years I've pinpointed the oils on the market that best suit the gamut of skin health conundrums, from breakouts to brightening. Here are eight face oils I'm loving now (and how I use each one).

Drunk Elephant Marula Oil
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil $72

You really can't go wrong with this single-ingredient powerhouse. Whenever your skin needs a little extra T.L.C., this straightforward face oil does the trick. It's rich in critical antioxidants as well as omegas 6 and 9 to moisturize, nourish, and soothe skin. I first began using it directly after a session of Drunk Elephant's Sukari Babyfacial ($80) to calm irritation and lock in moisture when my skin was its most vulnerable, but soon I was applying a drop here or there anytime my sensitive skin needed a boost of moisture and a return to balance.

Pai Rosehip Oil
Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil $44

It was only this past summer I began incorporating this celebrity-favorite into my routine, and I regret not being privy to it sooner. It's instantly become my favorite rosehip oil, and one of my all-time favorite face oils. After just one use (just a couple of drops go a long way), I can see and feel the difference in my skin. A week of use (you can use it day or night), I notice my complexion is more even, breakouts have been kept at bay, and my skin boasts a healthy glow.

Ranavat Botanics Radiant Rani
Ranavat Botanics Radiant Rani $90

This super luxurious face oil—the best brightening product in my arsenal—is something I look forward to each morning. I massage it into my skin before applying makeup (I've become completely addicted to the hint of saffron in the scent) and it keeps my skin glowy until dusk. On the weekends, or sometimes in the evenings while kicking back on the couch, I'll spend several minutes massaging a couple of drops of Radiant Rani into my skin using a Kansa Wand ($65) to relieve tension in my face, smooth fine lines, and simply unwind.

Meow Meow Tweet Face Oil
Meow Meow Tweet Juniper Carrot Seed Face Oil $25
Shop

This is the newest face oil to make its way into my lineup. Don't be fooled by the price, every part of this product feels just as elevated and effective as its pricier counterparts—from its sustainable glass packaging, to its beautifully complex scent (a blend of certified organic plant oils), to how it leaves skin looking utterly refreshed and revived. It's best applied after spritzing the brand's Geranium Palmarosa Face Toner ($24).

Sunday Riley U.F.O. Oil
Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil $40
Shop

Whenever I feel a breakout coming on, I turn to this tried-and-true skincare routine staple. I'm a fan of all of Sunday Riley's face oils, but this might be the hardest working in my collection because it stops every pimple in its tracks. Just a drop or two on the problem area (or around my whole face if I feel like my skin is a little off balance) turns skin around in just one night. I use it after applying Sunday Riley's Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner ($55) for improved results.

Tata Harper Retinoic Nutrient Face Oil
Tata Harper Retinoic Nutrient Face Oil With Vitamin A $48

When I first tried to introduce retinol into my skincare routine, I ended up overdoing it and aggravating (and damaging) my sensitive skin. I was eventually instructed by a clinical skincare specialist to always dilute retinol with a cream or other moisturizer (even if it's formulated to be used alone). That helped until I came across this retinoic face oil from Tata Harper—as effective as any retinol I had tried before, but gentle enough to be used on my sensitive skin without diluting. Even better, it can even be used during the daytime so you can truly use it whenever your skin needs it most.

Farmacy Honey Grail
Farmacy Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil $48
Shop

I lean on the Farmacy skincare line for all of my cold-weather skincare needs because of the brand's super hydrating and moisturizing formulas. My skin is a disaster zone in the winter and requires as much lasting hydration as possible. This face oil does exactly that, while still feeling lightweight and non-greasy. Buckwheat honey and a five-flower oil blend of hibiscus, rosehip, evening primrose, crambe, and sunflower nourish and hydrate skin. Mix it in with your foundation for a dewy finish that will defend skin from dryness throughout the day.

Kiehl's Cannabis Oil
Kiehl's Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate $49

Another relatively new addition to my face oil collection, this cannabis Sativa seed-infused oil is a godsend for stressed-out skin. Be it a dry patch, wind rash, or your skin simply feels out of balance, this newest oil from Kiehl's (the maker of my O.G. face oil that's still a star of my regimen) calms and soothes problem skin, reduces redness and inflammation, and brings skin back to a balanced state.
