Pops of pink, sultry eyeshadows, and Cali girl vibes—celebs like Lily Aldridge, Lauren Conrad, and Jessica Alba pulled out all the stops in the makeup department this week. Click through the slideshow above for eight majorly jaw-dropping looks!
Makeup artist Lauren Andersen gave Alba a sexy smoky eye for Spike TV’s Guy’s Choice Awards by lining her lid with Avon’s Glimmersticks Eye Liner ($7) in Blackest Black and blending it out towards the outer corners. For even more dimension, she used Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Eye Liner ($24) as a shadow, and used a tissue on the outer corners to make a crisp edge. And finally—the lipstick in question for Alba’s perfect pale pink lip? Avon’s Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick ($9) in Pink Renewal.
“Bronzy skin, a structured brow, and flirty lashes looked unfussy while still feeling incredibly elegant,” says makeup artist Fiona Stiles about the inspiration behind Union’s classic look. She used Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Blush & Bronzer ($12) in Raisin Glow on the apple of Union’s cheeks, swiped the line’s Healthy Volume Mascara ($9) in Carbon Black on her lashes, and filled in her lips with NARS’ Lipliner Pencil ($22) in Jungle Red.
Chrissy Teigen always manages to look as if she’s just arrived from a glorious beach vacay—click here for all the details on this bronzy, summery makeup look.
Bush was pretty in pink at MaxMara and W Magazine’s Women in Film cocktail party —or rather, her lips were. Try YSL’s Gloss Volupté ($32) in Terriblement Fuchsia, a glossy, vibrant purply-pink with gold flecks, to imitate her look.
Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell gave Jaime King a super-dramatic smoky eye for Spike TV’s Guy Choice Awards. “I wanted her look to be sexy and strong, yet simple and clean,” she says. “So my focus was all on her eyes!” To create the intense eye makeup look, she used Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Liner ($24) in Black Ink along King’s lash line and in the inner rim. Then, she went over the liner with NARS’ Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow ($35) in Sycorax, pulling the shadow up into the crease of her eye and blending it out. For major volume in the lash department, she used multiple layers of YSL’s Faux Cils Mascara ($30). As for her understated lip color? “I love the natural color of Jaime’s lips, so I used Lucas Papaw Ointment ($25) for moisture and left her natural lip color shine.”
Conrad is the ultimate purveyor of Cali-girl beauty, and her appearance on Extra this week was no exception. Makeup artist Amy Nadine created a flawless base for her skin with Kanebo Sensai’s Cellular Performance Cream Foundation ($85), then gave her a contoured, sun-kissed glow with Chanel’s Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base ($48). To finish off her bronzy look, she used Dior’s Addict Lip Polish ($31).
Makeup artist Shane Paish gave Munn a subtle daytime smoky eye, peachy cheeks, and a swipe of clear, shimmery gloss on her lips—gorgeous!
