Aside from makeup artists, models just might be our most trusted source when it comes to gleaning effective makeup tips and product must-haves. After all, it's their job to be photographed. And in turn, their faces and beauty aesthetic are fawned over by millions. Plus, most of them have been in the industry for years now, and even if they're still relatively new to the game, they have fellow models (or model sisters and mothers!) to supplement their product and application repertoire. In other words, they become insanely adept at recognizing a quality product when they see one. (I mean, can you imagine the sheer number of products they've been painted and doused with over the years?) And obviously, they maintain a stringent pickiness when it comes to formulas they'll willingly apply on days with no makeup artist in tow.
Recently, we learned three different models (ahem, Alessandra, Adriana, and Gisele) all requested one particular eye cream after a makeup artist used it on them before a shoot or show. Which then led our sleuthing beauty minds to the question: What other unexpected beauty products do models absolutely swear by when they're in their natural habitats? Considering we talk with models and other famous people on a routine basis, we dug through the archives to uncover 17 more hidden-gem products top models absolutely go bananas for—and don't worry, we're including the aforementioned eye cream.

"I do face masks every time before a shoot and every two weeks. I love this particular foil mask from Estée Lauder," she recently told us in an exclusive interview.
"I like to use liquid and cream highlighters. Becca, Laura Mercier, Smashbox, and Sigma are my favorites," Hailey told us exclusively.
A more natural fave is Vitamin E oil. The model said she learned this trick from her mum and the elixir is her secret for a model-worthy glow.
"You know if you had a great blow-dry or your hair looks good, but then the next day you wake up and it's gotten a little fuzzy again? I spritz a little of this in my hand, run it through my ends, and it just kind of calms everything back down," living legend Cindy Crawford told us on camera.
This neutral palette is another must-have (one of five to be precise!) and is her go-to for that signature smoky eye of hers. "This eye shadow palette is to die for," Crawford emphasizes. "I pretty much can go anywhere with this palette. If I need more than this, I have a makeup artist."
A tad more affordable, the model also shared she prefers a tinted moisturizer over a heavier foundation. "When I get ready to go out or to an event, it will take me about an hour, hour and a half, to get ready. "I always start with a moisturized, clean face. I don't like to use foundation so much. I find a tinted moisturizer looks much more natural. I like the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($45), and, if not that, the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($64)."
Models—including Lima—are obsessed with this under-the-radar eye cream.
The model has also been candid about her love for Maybelline lipsticks. This shade (Mesmerizing Magenta) is one of her favorites.
Backstage, Ambrosio divulged this cult-classic texturizing spray is the key to her always-flawless blowout.
And how does she get that covetable glow of hers pre–fashion show? "I use Joanna Vargas Exfoliating Mask ($75): You rub it in like a scrub but leave it on like a mask,” she explained.
"I always use a mixture of things. I'll layer on cocoa butter with my oils and then put on my Aesop deodorant, so I always smell like a million different things," Aboah admitted of her beauty aesthetic.
"I love a glossy eyelid, a face mask, and lavender oil. I wear face masks all the time. There's this GlamGlow SuperMud Mask ($59) that I love. It's one of the face masks I get instant gratification from and see an immediate change in my skin," the model gushed.
The model also has a thing for French skincare, divulging to our editorial director, Faith Xue, that she has a major thing for cult-loved micellar water. "I love Bioderma ($15). That pure water is amazing for the skin."
