The Detox Market

Step off Beverly Boulevard and into The Detox Market and you’ll find yourself in the chicest farm stand-esque boutique this side of the Mississippi. The store, which is the brainchild of two French transplants, is centered on the philosophy of beauty from the inside out. So you’ll find all-natural teas, juices, and supplements alongside non-toxic beauty brands like Ilia Beauty, Kjaer Weis, Olíe Biologique, and Mun. Standout products include W3ll People’s incredibly creamy and easy-to-use Narcissist Stick Foundation ($40) and the soothing, winter skin-saver Vitamin E Eye Balm ($48) from Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics.

Le Pink & Co

For the beauty junkies with eastside dwellings, Le Pink & Co. is the place to get your goods. This neighborhood apothecary with a vintage feel carries niche brands from all over the world, Eminence Organic Skincare from Hungary being one of our personal favorites. Scattered throughout the array of Italian lotions, Swedish soaps, and French perfumes, you’ll find handmade greeting cards, baby clothes, and delicate jewelry. They also offer facials and waxing services. We love that they carry hard-to-find brands like Julie Hewett and their extensive nail polish offerings.

Stop in for some Smith & Cult Nail Polish ($18) or to stock up on LAQA & Co.’s Fat Lip Pencils ($20).

Evolué

Forget everything you thought you knew about green beauty—Evolué is eco-chic at its finest. The store is a well-edited version of the best offerings on the market. Though primarily skincare and makeup (think Arcona skin products and RMS and Antonym makeup), you’ll also find Rare El’ements, and eco-luxury anti-aging hair care brand. And when the owner’s A-list clientele couldn’t find what they needed, she created it for them. After two years of dishing out creams and serums in non-descript white jars (and three more years of testing), Evolué skincare was born.

Now you can by Evolué products, which are “only tested on actresses, never on animals,” in the Beverly Hills boutique. Store highlights include Évolué Resurfacing Grains ($48) and Rare Elements Pure Shampoo ($34).

Strange Invisible Perfumes

Strange Invisible Perfumes is exactly what you’d expect out of a Abbot Kinney shop and so much more. It’s an artisanal perfumery and all of the fragrances are crafted in-house from organic, biodynamic, and hydro-distilled botanical essences. We love Strange Invisible Black Rosette ($385) and the perfumes of perfumes of the zodiac. And while the fragrances are beautiful, the assortment of apothecary products like May Lindstrom Skin’s The Honey Mud ($80) and other all-natural offerings are not to be missed.

Violet Grey

Tucked away between the ivy-covered walls on Melrose Place, you’ll find a red door. Open it, and you’ll find a curated collection of expert-approved beauty products. Violet Grey takes the guesswork out beauty shopping. You won’t find anything in the store that Hollywood’s finest hairstylists, makeup artists, and manicurists can’t live without. Their edited collection includes Leonor Greyl hair care products, Jin Soon nail polish, and By Terry makeup. Philip Kingsley’s Exfoliating Scalp Mask ($10) and Koh Gen Do’s Cleansing Spa Water Cloths ($39) are a couple of our don’t-miss picks.
