Amanda Montell is a 27-year-old writer and author based in Los Angeles. She began her career as an intern at Woman's Day online before becoming an editor at Total Beauty and later, the features editor at Byrdie Beauty. She recently published her first book, Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language, (Harper Wave, 2019) and is working on her second. Amanda also has bylines in Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan.
Amanda graduated magna cum laude from NYU with a degree in linguistics and creative writing.
