About My Lashes: The longer, the better

It’s not a shock to anyone that I love long eyelashes, the longer, the better in my honest opinion. Ever since I started wearing makeup, my eyelashes have always been a focus of mine. From using lengthening and mascaras for curling my eyelashes, to testing out lengenthing serums and wearing false lashes. I’ve tried nearly everything to keep my lashes as long and healthy as possible. False lash brands I’ve tried in the past are Ardell, House of Lashes, and Kiss Lashes.

How To Apply: Ready, steady, stick

I’m not going to sugarcoat it, applying false eyelashes can be intimidating at first, but the more you practice the better you’ll become. The first thing you’re going to want to do is take the lashes and rest them on the lashline to see if they are long enough for you. This is a great way to gauge the shape and length of your lashes compared to the false ones, and you’ll also be able to tell if you need to trim the lashes before applying so they fit nicely.

The lashes are composed of small sections of individual wispies, so if you need to cut some off the front or the end, it’s quite easy to cut on a clean line without ruining the shape. You can apply mascara to your natural eyelashes or not, it’s up to you. 

The next step is you’re going to need an eyelash glue that dries down clear or black. This way, lashes will look naturally adhered to the lashline instead of looking too obvious. Apply a thin line of adhesive to the lash band and wait 20-30 seconds so the glue dries a little and becomes tacky. This will allow the lash glue to still stick but also allow you to lift the lash if you need to reapply or move it around a bit. You’re going to want to place the lashband as close to your natural lashline as possible and press with your fingers or with a pair of tweezers. When you remove the lashes, you can start to peel the outer corner off and move your way inward until the eyelashes are fully off. 

If you keep the lashes clean and remove the glue after using them, you can reuse the eyelashes a few times before discarding them. You also have the option of applying mascara to your false eyelashes if you choose.

The Results: Natural but glam

I absolutely love the way these eyelashes look, they were natural enough but elevated my eyes just right to where I felt glamorous and could wear them with soft makeup and more dramatic eye makeup. The way these lashes feather and the volume they give brings such satisfaction, you go from 0-10 when applying these eyelashes and they look fantastic.

It’s important to note that these lashes did not feel heavy at all. It takes a few minutes to get used to wearing false lashes, but once you get used to them you forget you have them on, and i did not experience any kind of itching or irritation.
