Of course, the host of the evening had to hit us with more than just one look. Celebrity hairstylist Tym Wallace slayed Taraji P. Henson’s hair for the AMAs using Joico Hair Color. The inspiration was glamorous modernized '70s and super mod top models like Pat Cleveland, Beverly Johnson, and Naomi Campbell. Wallace credits his must-have beauty product of the night as Joico Power Spray Fast-Dry Finishing Spray ($17). However, it's Joico Color Infuse Red Conditioner ($19) that kept Taraji's red vibrant.

Makeup artist Kate Synnott told Byrdie this exclusively about the inspiration behind this look: "I wanted this look to be super dreamy and soft, so the main technique would be blending out any harsh lines. The magic is all in the blending. Light and feather-like strokes really work for makeup application, keeping it long-lasting so it stays in place."
On her lips is ICONIC London Lustre Lip Oil in Sugar Mama ($26) in combination with Charlotte Tilbury's Iconic Nude ($22) and Very Victoria ($34). ALLEVEN All-in-One Concealer, Foundation and Treatment ($147) in the shade Sand gave her a flawless finish.
