L'Oréal Paris just announced major news: Actress Amber Heard is the brand's newest global spokesperson. She's joining a lineup of phenomenal women who've held the same position, like Julianne Moore, Elle Fanning, Aja Naomi King, and more. She's bringing something equally amazing to the table. In an exclusive interview with People, Heard shares her thoughts on this major move about joining the L'Oréal team and fellow ambassadors: "I feel like these [women] represent a voice, a power, a movement, an opinion,” she told the publication. "Over the years I've always thought to not just be an actor, but to use my voice as a platform for good to make the world a slightly, slightly better place and empower women the best that I can."
Heard has been a fan of the brand for quite a while. "I have always loved the fun of beauty and the power of transformation," she said in a statement. "To become a spokesperson for this dynamic, world-loved beauty brand that's been telling women we're worth it since before I was born, and to join the L'Oréal Paris family of change makers is such an honor." The actress is celebrating at the Cannes Film Festival. To no surprise, she wowed everyone (including me) when she showed up to the Sorry Angel premiere looking strikingly gorgeous.
And this vibrant red lipstick you're staring at happens to be $10.
I mean, it literally looks like it was made for her. But it has your name on it too. She paired the red with a winged-out black liner complete with a crystal in the center of her lower lash lines. If you're into fiery-red, in-your-face kind of shades, cop this ASAP. Heard has worn many reds in her day, but this one might just be our favorite. Plus, we can't get over the perfect price point.
The thing about these liquid lipsticks is they have a 16-hour wear. Yep, 16 whole hours. I've tried them, and it's a comfortable matte that legitimately doesn't move. Loved by Beyoncé's long-time makeup artist Sir John, these lipsticks have serious staying power and come in the most gorgeous shades, like this red worn by Heard.
These shimmery neutral shades were used to top off her eyes. You can never have too many neutral eye shadow palettes simply because they do it all.
To create that ultra-sharp winged eye, this new liquid liner did the job. It has a super-tiny tip for maximum precision.
A glamorous red carpet calls for lash volume and length. A few swipes of this mascara gave her lashes fullness and definition. Oh, and smudge-proof of course.
