With each month comes new challenges, new opportunities, and, most importantly, new Amazon beauty launches. That's why we round up the best ones no fewer than 12 times per year. On that note, make sure you didn't miss the best June launches, cause they were so good. July is following suit.
This month, it seems that most new releases are from the hair category. There's a celeb-approved styling gel, a buzzy heat tool, a nourishing conditioner, a set of three microfiber hair wraps, and more. That doesn't mean, however, that there aren't skincare, makeup, and wellness picks too. Keep an eye out for a cool new K-beauty face mist, a best-selling liquid eyeliner, and a set of 12 essential oils. Like we said, Amazon is absolutely killing it with new beauty releases this month. Simply scroll on to see.
This sulfate-free conditioner from OGX uses coconut oil, vanilla bean extract, and essence of tiare (otherwise known as Tahitian gardenia flower) to repair dry, damaged hair. It softens and smoothes the hair cuticle, too. Take it from one reviewer, who writes, "I will never use another brand of conditioner. This leaves my hair looking and feeling thicker. It also almost completely eliminates tangles."
If you find it difficult to achieve perfectly beachy waves with a traditional curling iron, try this new Amazon release from Bed Head. It has two clamps, just like a hot iron, only it's curved to shape the hair into waves. Simply take a one-inch section of hair, press it between the clamps, and release. Finish it off with a bit of hair spray for extra staying power.
"I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of styling tools, and this one is the best. I could get rid of all the others and just use this. My hair is fine and frizzy, and this tool makes it look amazing. The style lasts all day and even looks good the next day," one reviewer writes.
Mario Badescu is responsible for more than a few cult-favorite products, and this one seems no different. It's new to Amazon and features a combination of rosewater and witch hazel. The former provides the skin with antioxidants while the latter acts as a natural astringent to remove impurities. It even has aloe to calm and soothe the skin. Apply it after cleanser and before moisturizer like you would any other toner.
"Mario Badescu is my go-to company for their drying lotion, facial spray, and now their rosewater toner. I was excited when I saw this on Amazon and surprised it was not available in Nordstrom or Ulta. The toner arrived early Saturday, and I applied it Saturday night. First off, the scent is AMAZING! I did not expect that. While it is still early I am confident that this will become a part of my usual skin care regimen. my skin already feels like it's glowing!" writers one reviewer.
If summer humidity gets the best of your hair (like it does ours), you might appreciate Amazon's newest Garnier release. It's an oil-based formula, with Moroccan argan oil being its star ingredient. You can apply it on wet, damp, or dry hair. Apply it on wet hair in the shower for extra conditioning, on damp hair post-shower as a smoothing leave-in treatment, and on dry hair for shine and sleekness.
Our favorite Amazon review is this highly spirited one: "This stuff must be made out of unicorn tears and streams of rainbow light. Not sure how it gets bottled, but it must be done by a leprechaun or woodland fairies. It works wonders on not only the hair on the top of your head, but also beards! So silky smooth. Mmmmmmmmm."
This lip balm is called "all-weather" since it's formulated for every season. It has SPF 15 to protect lips from sun damage and a water-resistant formula to defend lips for up to 40 minutes at a time. The moisturizing balm is also 100% natural, without any parabens, phthalates, petrolatum, or SLS. The best part is that it imparts a matte finish, so it's perfect for layering over other tints and lip colors.
This brown pen isn't a cream or crayon—it's liquid tint, which people seem to either love or hate (Byrdie's editorial director, Faith, belongs to the former category. She loved it so much she cancelled her micro-blading appointment. Be sure to read her full review). If you've tried liquid brow pens before and liked the result, you might like this one too. The formula is dispensed out of a multi-pronged tip to create the most natural-looking effect. The brand promises it's transfer-proof, lasting up to a full 24 hours.
Aptly named the Nail Guardian, this bottle contains a blend of natural essential oils to protect against icky stuff like fungus while simultaneously strengthening and moisturizing the nail bed.
"After having gels on my nails for the past five years, I decided that I wanted to be done. I took them off and my nails were paper thin and awful to look at. After a little research, I came across Organica's Nail Guardian. I have been applying it twice a day for almost three weeks, and I cannot believe the results! My nails look better and they are definitely getting stronger. I started noticing the improvement after only a few days! This product is definitely a winner! I will be ordering more soon," writes one reviewer.
Speaking of essential oils, this set of 12 was just recently released on Amazon. It includes a vial of lavender, peppermint, sweet orange, tea tree, eucalyptus, lemongrass, and more. Consider it a complete starter pack to the world of essential oils (if you're a total newbie, be sure to check out our ultimate guide).
With essential oils, you'll need a diffuser, so why not try this newly released bamboo one? It has two misting modes with a timer setting, along with seven different-colored LED lights for a little visual relaxation element.
"I have about five different sizes of the InnoGear diffusers," writes one reviewer. "They are great! The oldest one is probably three years old and still works like day one."
Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, right? This Nioxin treatment should be used daily to protect against product buildup and provide vitamins and antioxidants. Even though it's targeted toward the scalp, it also gently moisturizes hair, too. Many people use it when they notice their hair is thinning.
"This stuff is a miracle worker," writes a reviewer. "I can't even tell I ever had thinning hair or a bald spot area."
Seoul Ceuticals is an under-the-radar K-beauty brand on Amazon. This newly released essence spray is 98% naturally derived with tamarind extract, Japanese green tea, aloe vera, cucumber extract, and marine minerals. Mist it over your skin after you cleanse to prep your skin for makeup application. It has some seriously glowing reviews.
"This has been the most recent addition to my skin care regimen, and I am loving it!! My face has never looked or felt so great. My skin is staying so hydrated even though I'm outside in this Texas heat often. This spray is super refreshing and provides just the right amount of moisture before applying your serum and cream. I feel like my face is looking much more youthful," writes one reviewer.
It's no secret that we love a good bulk Amazon buy (for proof, see the aforementioned essential oil set). This new release is no different. For $11, you can get 12 satin hair scrunchies in assorted colors. Scrunchies are in right now, as is everything '90s, so get them while they're still in stock.
"These were amazing! At first, I was a little hesitant to purchase these due to the lack of reviews and low price point. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The colors are gorgeous, true to the pictures with bold and pastel colors and a metallic finish. Also, the texture is really soft, and I predict it will be very durable. I would 100% recommend," one reviewer writes.
This Maybelline eyeliner is a number one best seller on Amazon, and it's just been restocked. Take it from reviews like this one:
"This is my favorite. I love liquid eyeliner, but it is hell applying it. This is the best of both worlds. I love how it's liquid in a pen form. It's super easy to apply and it lasts all day! I have another eyeliner pen like this one, which feels heavy on my eyelid and kind of causes irritation, but this one is great, lightweight with good pigmentation. You can do a thick wing or a thin one. It's great!"
You may not think you need a special microfiber towel for drying your hair, but then you use one and you're hooked. That's what happened to us at least. These newly released microfiber wraps are new to Amazon. They come in a pack of three and stay secure with a button closure, so there's no slipping or dripping while you're getting ready for the day. Plus, they dry hair so fast. Consider them a must if you have thick hair.
This is Amazon's number one new release in styling gels. It's formulated to work on all hair types, moisturizing the scalp, smoothing the hair, and offering UV protection. Alcohol-free, it also offers maximum hold, and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. (By the way, it's even approved by It girl Yara Shahidi.)
"Okay so I have used SOOOOO many products in the past, Kinky Curly, Carols Daughter, and I love the Eco styling gel," writes one reviewer. "Not only does it not flake, I can shingle my hair and it stays soft and manageable. It does not get hard. My sister referred this product to me and it adds a shine that everyone notices. BTW on I have a lot of hair, with a tight curl pattern."
