To us, Amazon is like the Trader Joe's of beauty shopping. By that we mean that it has pretty much everything we could ever need. Whether it's hair, makeup, skincare, or wellness products, it's convenient that we can add everything we need to our cart all at once. But before we list all of the reasons we love Amazon, we'll just stop to say that this month's new launches are dangerous for our bank accounts.
This month, it's all about brand-name products, and some of our favorite brands at that. There's a buzzy Australian clay mask, a drugstore mascara, and a new version of a cult-classic face mist. Keep scrolling to see the 15 best new Amazon launches of August.
This styling cream is formulated for all hair types. It smoothes, defines, and shapes the hair while essential fatty acids keep it strong and shiny. Take it from one Amazon customer who says, "The smell is awesome. They say it is 'sage,' but it smells a lot sweeter than that. Whatever it is, it's amazing. The hold of the cream is perfect. Not too firm and not too little. The cream doesn't come off the hair - when you run your fingers through it, you don't get hardly any residue. This means that, unlike gel and similar products, you don't feel like you need to wash it off to be comfortable."
L'Oréal's Voluminous Mascara is an absolute classic. It's one of the most beloved drugstore mascaras of all time, and it's definitely a Byrdie favorite thanks to the length, separation, and density it lends to our lashes. The good news is that it's currently available on Amazon in burgundy. You know, in case you want to switch it up from your traditional black formula.
This anti-acne face cream uses tea tree oil, which is a natural antibacterial and antifungal ingredient. It kills two birds with one stone by banishing acne-causing bacteria and balancing oil production. Amazon customers say it even helps lighten hyperpigmentation. "I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and I absolutely love it. The refreshing feeling is great and it has truly begun to lighten my dark spots and without drying my face out!! Very pleased with this product!"
Who doesn't love a good vanity mirror? Whether you're shaping your brows or applying an almost undetectable flick of eyeliner, this mirror will make it easy by magnifying your face up to five times. It also has LED lights that surround the mirror to mimic natural lighting.
Here's another tea tree oil product for your consideration. This time it's a shampoo, which clears and calms a dry itchy scalp. There are also four oils—jojoba, coconut, avocado, and almond—found inside for moisturizing the hair and lending it some serious shine factor.
Facial rollers are all the rage and for good reason: The benefits abound. They're thought to assist in lymphatic drainage, increase blood circulation for a glowy complexion, and even fight fine lines. This one uses genuine rose quartz, which is associated with confidence and self-love. We could all use a little more of that, right?
Okay, these eyeliner pens are so cool. Each order comes with two separate dual-ended pens. On one end is a traditional liquid eyeliner pen. On the other is a cat eyeliner stamp. Just press it against the corner of your eye for a no-fuss winged-liner look. There's no dipping or tracing. You just stamp it on. Hopefully this will end the "I'm running late because I tried winged liner" texts to our friends.
Sand & Sky is a buzzy Australian beauty brand that launched a pink clay mask back in 2017. Since then, it has basically overtaken Instagram. We're talking about the brand's Detoxify and Brighten Mask, which uses clay to shrink the appearance of pores and boost radiance. For more info on this fan-favorite face mask, be sure to read our full review.
Solimo is Amazon's own brand of wellness and personal care items. One of its newest products are these lavender-scented Epsom salts, which are sure to unwind our minds and bodies after a long day of work (or workouts, for that matter). We'll be adding these to our baths, asap. After all, the benefits of Epsom salts are vast and varied.
In my opinion, Wunder2 is an underrated brand. It's responsible for Glitter Gelly ($16), which is the best chunky glitter eye shadow I've ever used. It comes suspended in a gel formula, so it's easy to apply and remove. I'm obsessed with them. That's why I'm so excited to try the brand's long-wearing eyeliner. It's waterproof, smudge-proof, and cruelty-free.
Clinique's latest product to hit Amazon is one that fights all types of hyperpigmentation and dark spots while resisting the formation of new skin tone discrepancies. "I usually don't write reviews but this product is amazing," writes one customer. "After 2 weeks I saw a significant difference in my dark spots on my face and back. I'm at my 3 week mark and I love my skin and now have more confidence to go makeup free. I will definitely continue to use this product as any dark spots come in. I also have sensitive skin and this product worked fine, I didn't have any reactions."
As far as we're concerned, shower steamers are the new bath bombs. Place a single tablet on the floor of your shower. It will start to dissolve, releasing aromatic oils. In this case, those oils are eucalyptus and spearmint, which are uplifting and energizing (so perfect for a morning shower). It's pretty much the simplest way to make your showers more soothing and spa-like.
This cotton sleep mask is molded to fit your face. In other words, it promises not to squish your nose and put uncomfortable pressure on your eyelids. Instead, it fits comfortably and keeps out any and all light. That's according to Amazon reviewers, who have given it glowing reviews. "I must say that it's really the best eye mask I've ever used," writes one customer. "Most eye masks are flimsy and doesn't really keep out light. Not this one! Because this eye mask is padded, light really does not get through at all. The adjustable nose bridge also helps in making it comfortable to wear. The best part is for me is that IT DOES NOT MOVE through the night!" Based on that review alone, we're buying it.
The star ingredients in this firming body lotion are macadamia and olive oils, which provide the hydration, and vitamin E and C, which provide antioxidants and firming properties. What stands out the most is the scent, which is a fruity floral type perfect for summer.
Mario Badescu's newest facial spray (in a long-lasting eight-ounce bottle) has just landed on Amazon's virtual shelves. Because of its ingredients—aloe, chamomile, lavender, and vitamin C—it hydrates, soothes, and protects the complexion against aging free radicals. Plus it's extremely refreshing, especially during the intense heat of the dog days of summer.
We hate to do this to you because we're sure it will result in you spending more money (like it did for us), but you can't miss it. Check out the best Sephora launches this month.
