Case in point: Adriana Lima, who just revealed her beauty and skin routine to New York Magazine—and proceeded to blow our minds with the fascinating way she uses a certain tropical superfood.

We're all too aware of coconut water's internal benefits, but have you considered applying it on top of your skin? That's Lima's go-to method when her complexion needs some work. "If you have a tough day and want to treat yourself, you can soak your skin with cotton pads and ice-cold coconut water," she says. "I prefer natural coconut water. Every time I go to Brazil, I get a chance to try it. Here, I go to Chinatown."
With just one look at the Victoria's Secret model's natural glow, we certainly don't need to be told twice. And she has a point: You can reap many of the same anti-aging benefits of coconut water (thanks to its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, as well as its array of antioxidants) by absorbing it through your skin just as you would by knocking some back.
