Aaraf Adam is a Sudanese-American writer, creative director, and filmmaker. She utilizes fashion, wellness, and beauty to produce narrative art with intention. Aaraf collaborates with Black artists and storytellers to uplift continental and diasporic Black women with emblematic experiences, especially those in underrepresented communities such as Black Muslim women. Her work has been featured in Essence, Marie Claire Arabia, Grazia Middle East, Blavity, Re, and more.
Aaraf has been a freelance writer for two years and has recently joined Byrdie as a contributor.
Aaraf is pursuing a degree in creative writing and English from George Washington University.
