An $8 Moisturizer Is Going Viral After a Teen Shared Their Anti-Acne Routine

Acne is just one of life's little infuriating realities until it becomes severe or chronic. At that point, it becomes much more than a simple nuisance. It hurts (both physically and emotionally). What you must always remember, though, is that there are plenty of other people who are dealing with the same thing. Acne is common and widespread. There is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about.

Instagram is the perfect platform to prove this. Lately, we've seen a skin positivity trend, with people ditching enhancement filters and apps in favor of showing their real skin—acne, pores, hyperpigmentation, and all. We've also seen a surge in the popularity of "skincare threads," where people share before and after acne photos along with the specific products they use. We're so into it.

The latest so-called "thread" comes from an Instagram user called Carlos David, or @yadigcarlos. He has posted two before-and-after photos that show his dramatic acne transformation. He has also shared the products he attributes his newly cleared skin to, including an $8 drugstore moisturizer. Thanks to him, it's currently going viral.
