Are You Type A or a Pleasure Seeker? Check the Shape of Your Pout
In the same way that your lipstick tip shape can speak volumes about your personality, it turns out your mouth itself is a good indicator as well. According to Jean Haner, author of The Wisdom of Your Face, reading your own lips can tell you a lot about yourself—from your work ethic to your ability to empathize with others.
For example, a defined, pointed Cupid’s bow suggests innate creativity and quick-mindedness—and that you might say what’s on your mind without thinking first. If that Cupid’s bow is more rounded, you tend to be very kind. Got a full upper and lower lip, à la Angelina Jolie? Chances are you’re considered the “mom” of your friends group.
Even those with artificially shaped lips fall under this jurisdiction, as Chinese wisdom believes that those who alter their appearance in any way thus change their destiny. (Cool, right?) Haner says that plumping up your lips means that you should be prepared to welcome more drama into your life—and someone who focuses on her bottom lip specifically might tend to be a pleasure seeker.
