How to Pull Off a Straight-Across Brow Like Victoria Beckham

Deven Hopp

A meticulously shaped, high-arched brow is always flattering, but there are plenty of other statement-making eyebrow shapes that shouldn’t be overlooked. In fact, nearly arch-free brows are some of the boldest brows. Case in point: Victoria Beckham’s straight-across eyebrows. Celebrity makeup artist Sarah Lucero filled us in on how she created the look.

“Soft, sultry eye makeup was the highlight of the look—with the focus on Victoria’s brows,” Lucero says. To create a feathered, fuller-looking brow, Lucero used Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Colour ($21) in Dark. To bump up the glam factor, Lucero layered burgundy eyeliner and eye shadow into a soft smoky eye. The rest of the look was kept fresh. The skin was glowy with lightly sculpted cheekbones and a pop of peach on the apples of the cheeks. And Lucero chose a peachy nude matte shade (Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil ($19) in 23C from Make Up For Ever) for the lips, so they wouldn’t pull focus from the bold eye makeup.

Would you try out the straight-across brow?
