In the morning, Goulding washes her face with By Terry’s Refreshing Cleansing Gel ($51) before using Sisley’s Self-Tanning Hydrating Facial Skin Cream ($141). “I’m pale, so I like using a moisturizer with a gradual tanner on my face,” she says. Before she applies any makeup she preps her skin with Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir ($18):“It’s so refreshing!” she says.

When asked about the olfactory conditions on a tour bus, Goulding replies diplomatically: “Things can get a little weird on the road.” Her solution? Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb ($110), her favorite perfume, and the corresponding Body Lotion ($50).

“My favorite lipstick is called Please Me by M.A.C.,” Goulding says. “It’s a matte pink that I wear all the time.” As is essential with matte products, she hydrates her lips beforehand with By Terry’s Rose Balm ($60).

“I swear by Clinique’s Chubby Sticks ($16), I can’t recommend them enough,” Goulding says. “They have the perfect consistency and give your lips a lot of shine.” Her go-to shades are Mighty Mimosa and Curvy Candy.

You’ll find Chanel’s Flawless Fluid Makeup ($55) and Sisley’s Oil Free Foundation ($119) in Goulding’s makeup bag. “I mix two different foundations to get the right shade for my face,” she says. “They’re expensive, but when I’m performing every night I need quality makeup.”

Dry shampoo is a must-have for anyone on the road. When Goulding isn’t lathering up with Ojon’s Volumizing Shampoo ($22) and Dry Recovery Conditioner ($23), she keeps her locks fresh with the brand’s Full Detox Rub-Out Dry Cleansing Spray ($24).

“The best trick I’ve learned from a makeup artist is to use sponges,” Goulding says. “I never realized how much makeup I piled on with my hands, but if you use a sponge your skin and freckles come through, which is really beautiful.” She uses M.A.C.’s All Blending Sponge ($8).

Goulding wears fake eyelashes when performing, the rest of the time it’s M.A.C.’s Zoom Lash Mascara ($16) after using the brand’s Full Lash Curler ($20). She also swears by Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils ($19): “They’re waterproof but still wash off nicely.”

Goulding keeps L’Oreal’s Ideal Clean Towelettes ($5) on hand to remove her makeup—she considers them an on-the-road must-have. “Face wipes are very essential when you haven’t showered on tour,” she says.

Goulding uses By Terry’s Cream Blush ($46) over Chanel’s Bronzing Makeup Base ($48) for a flush. “I sponge on cream blush and then dab on my Chanel bronzer,” she says. “It sounds dodgy, but you can sponge anything on!”

Like anyone who spends all night on stage, Goulding has a wardrobe of concealer. “I switch between By Terry and Touche Eclat for day,” she says. “Then if I need more in the evening I use one by M.A.C.” She uses Laura Mercier’s Undercover Pot ($34) for highlighting: “It’s reflective and makes you look less tired than you are!”
