Target Launches Its Own Nail Polish Line—See the Collection!

The day has come—Target has finally, finally launched its own beauty line. Rather than kick off with makeup or skincare, the much-loved mass retailer decided to go a different route: 38 cheery nail polishes named after pop culture phrases (the base coat is called All About That Base, while the cherry red is Rose Ceremony—so #ontrend). Defy & Inspire, the name of the line, promises high-shine, long-wearing formulas at an affordable price point—each polish is offered for $7.49 a piece. Made with patented plasticizers to create “color flexibility” and a shiny, crack-free finish, the polishes are also 5-free and free of chemicals like DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and camphor.

Though you can’t snatch up cheeky polishes until January 17, 2015,  we got a first look at some of the shades and can already tell it’s going to be a hit. Our favorites? A pale periwinkle blue named Laguna Beach, and a soft vanilla beige named Say Yes. As you anxiously await the new collection, feel free to peruse the rest of Target's amazing beauty offerings
