Selena Gomez Wore Our New Favorite Autumn Nail Polish Shade
We're always looking for nail polish inspiration, especially when it comes to the fall and winter seasons. It sounds insignificant, but the color we paint our nails influences the rest of our beauty and style for as long as it endures chip-free on our hands.
The newest nail polish shade to inspire us comes from none other than Selena Gomez, one of our usual go-tos for beauty inspiration. According to Refinery 29, she wore the ultra-pretty polish while attending a fashion week event with Coach. And after doing some digging, her fans were able to figure out the exact brand and shade.
Tom Ford Tom Ford Nail Lacquer in Bitter Bitch ($36)
The nail polish is Tom Ford's Bitter Bitch. We're not crazy about the name, but we are crazy about the color. It looks mauve when pictured in the bottle, though in real life, it's more complex. It contains brown, red, and purple undertones that seem to shift when it's exposed to different lighting. In other words, it's the perfect moody color for autumn, and we'll be painting our nails with this stat.
Gomez wore the polish with a bright orange lip (which we love) and tousled wet-look hair (which we love even more). She's right on trend with this hairstyle, as it was the biggest trend of New York Fashion Week, by far. Designers like Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, and Rihanna at Fenty Puma sent their models down the runway with the same slick, shiny strands.
In fact, Selena's favorite brand, Coach, debuted its S/S 18 collection paired with wet-haired models, so we're guessing that's where she got her inspiration from. Either way, we love the subtle statement color.
