Reviewed: A Pore-Erasing Putty That Actually Works

Lindsey Metrus

Okay, we get that pores are necessary for hair growth and the release of sweat and toxins, but we're kind of over them. Especially when they're really gigantic and stick out like a sore thumb on our face. What's worse is when makeup settles into your pores, acting as some sort of magnifying glass. This is when we hold up our white flags and say "SOS!" Enter Peter Thomas Roth Pore Putty, your new favorite pore eraser.

Using the term "putty" really makes sense for a pore product, IMO. I was surprised at just how much it acted like some sort of spackle that practically filled in my pores, making them virtually invisible after I was done applying. A little goes a long way, so no need to plaster it on, so to speak.

I must say, I was quite surprised at how tinted the formula was, almost like a BB cream, but the color transitioned and blended seamlessly with my complexion. (I don't know how well this would work on darker skin tones, but would love to hear your feedback if you've tried it!)

After applying the Putty on moisturized skin, I applied my foundation, setting powder, and bronzer as usual. I caught a glimpse of my complexion midway through the day, and was pleasantly surprised at how well the putty was holding up. By the end of the day, my makeup was still matte and smooth. What pores?

If you're looking for a non-greasy, pore-filling, seemingly magical product, I highly recommend giving this a shot.
