Meghan Markle Swears by This $9 Drugstore Moisturizer
Meghan Markle has been a topic of particular interest in the media ever since she linked up with Prince Harry (it’s no secret that us Americans are intrigued by and sometimes obsessed with the British royal family). Now that people are getting more familiar with her after their epic engagement announcement, the buzz has hit an all-time high. Her beauty routine is of particular interest, just like Kate Middleton’s was. In fact, Markle has already influenced the world of beauty by launching new cosmetic surgery trends.
If you’re like us and you’re looking to mimic her glowy skin, bright eyes, and volumized hair then you’re in luck. Last year, Markle sat down with Beauty Banter to discuss her all-time favorite products. From a cult-favorite blush to a radiance-enhancing primer and a $9 moisturizer, keep scrolling to see Meghan Markle’s 5 favorites beauty products.
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler ($21)
Markle listed this cult-favorite eyelash curler as first on her list of must-have beauty products. Celebs and beauty editors alike swear by this curler for opening the eyes, making them look more awake, and of course adding much-needed curl to the lashes. "it makes you look instantly awake," Markle said.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 ($24)
"I have searched high and low and tried every kind of lip balm but this is the very best. Soft, kissable, buttery lips. I swear by it," says Markle as she gushed about this best-selling lip balm. It has sugar (a natural humectant), meadowfoam and black currant seed oil (for moisture), and vitamin C and E to nourish the lips.
Nars Orgasm Blush ($30)
By now we’re positive that Markle is a total beauty buff since she swears by so many cult-favorite products. This blush is arguably one of Nars’s best-selling products of all time—thanks to the fact that the peachy-pink color flatters every skin tone. Markle calls it "a perfect rosy flush tone that brightens the face."
Laura Mercier Foundation Radiance Primer ($22)
Markle is known for her fresh and glowy skin. Some of that radiance is due to this Laura Mercier primer, which has a subtle pearlescent finish along with vitamins C and E and nourishing jojoba oil. "I don’t wear foundation unless I’m filming, so this is what I put on every day after moisturizer to give my skin a dewy glow," Markle says. "It’s not sparkly, it’s true to its name … illuminating."
Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Lotion ($9)
Her last pick is straight from the drugstore (see, even a future royal won’t pass up on a good deal). This hydrating lotion promises to smooth, tighten, and firm your skin with results appearing after only two weeks. According to Markle, it delivers. "I use this religiously. It’s honestly my favorite lotion on the market—it’s so affordable and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it."
