Marion Cotillard, Olivia Wilde, and the Beauty of Fuchsia
At Dior’s fall show last February, makeup artist Pat McGrath told Style.com that she wanted to create "the ultimate Dior woman, seen through a futuristic eye.” That meant silver liner and fuchsia lips, stained stronger in the middle but faded around the edges. The idea of a “blooming rose” might work on the runway, but luckily a few of our favorite celebrities have shown off a more wearable version of the color.
Makeup artist Veronica Chu used Nars’ Lipstick ($26) in Schiap.
Yves Saint Laurent’s Vernis A Levres Glossy Stain ($34) in Fuchsia Tomboy is easy to apply.
Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge ($24) in Fuchsia offers a similarly vivid hue.
Sephora Collection’s Color Lip Last ($12) in Forever Fuchsia delivers a powdery matte finish—and lasts up to 10 hours!
